Artist Statement:

Being a photographer is almost like being a painter in a way!. Instead of having a palette with some gouache you actually paint with light , shadows ,proportions and create a composition of a dream.

Paintings have always been a terrific inspiration to me as well as the early century of photography! Those have been the truly early " keepers of light" unfolding a new perception of the world and the way we will ever look at it....

The flow of energy and the connection between the subject and the camera loaded with some polaroid film - releasing the shutter while looking at the sitter with my own eyes- make " magic " happens ! .A magic that satisfies an instant sense of creative gratification... An instant that my imagination and soul is graving for.

Photographing is like flirting with time , aperture and the subject, a delicate mariage of colors and composition . Light and shadows are seducing each others like old lovers who still have that fire of their early days. All are linked by a certain believe of at that moment we are making something slighly different ... we reinvent a different way of capturing or creating it , or have the illusion to do so, just for a brief instant....

It's like a polaroid that unfold in front of your eyes recreating that special moment that occured 25 years ago when I was a child , at the age of 8 and my father showed me the first picture appearing magically in the developper of his darkroom...

All that-every moment,every person ,every mood every light situation is different, it never looks the same! like days of our life..That gives me the freedom to see the world in a magical and different way,which lays deep in my creative consciousness-new Horizons ? new windows opening towards new fields of dreams- a mind opener!
A chance to create an infintif number of extraterrestrial dreamworlds, in which I love to immerse myself and to welcome new people in..

Pulling an other polaroid to recreate a magic moment . Moment that made me want to become a Photographer.
